Man Charged with Girlfriend’s Murder

Found Covered in Blood with Girlfriend’s Body

BRONX- A Bronx man has been charged with his girlfriend’s murder after the case was officially deemed a homicide yesterday.

Police arrested Prince-Roy Mullings, 28, after he was found at his home covered in blood. Cops went to Mullings home on Lurting Avenue in response to a wellness check for his girlfriend Kayon Williams.

According to published reports, Williams went to her boyfriend’s home. When she did not hear from her, Williams’ cousin called her cell phone. When Mullings answered and refused to put his girlfiend on the phone, the cousin called police to check on her.

Officers from the 47th Precinct were let into the house by a roomate. Mullings would not allow the officers into the bedroom. Eventually he came out covered in blood.

When cops entered the bedroom they found Williams lying on the floor in a pool of blood.

The medical examiner deemed the case a homicide yesterday and Mullings was charged with murder and criminal possession of weapon.

Williams had signs of trauma to the face and body. It is unknown if an object was used to beat the woman to death.
