911 Victims Remembered at Bronx Memorial

80 from Borough Perished in Twin Towers

By David Greene

NEW YORK- A damp and dreary day did not stop a crowd of 100, who gathered at Jacobi Hospital to remember those from the Bronx who died in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Residents and elected officials gathered at the hospital's 'Memorial Garden' on Tuesday, September 11, where many reflected on the events of that day, others read solemn poems.

A Moment of Silence was held at the exact moment 17 years earlier, when the first plane hit the World Trade Center.

More than 80 Bronxites perished in the attack.
